Here are some things that are helpful to make our virtual lessons successful:
1.Have equipment ready to go/tested prior so we aren't using lesson time to figure out logistics
2. The video angle is important-try to view from a perpendicular angle to strings so I can see bow contact point/and straightness of bow compared to bridge/fingerboard. 3. Try using a second music stand, a shelf, a desk or table close by with device propped
4. Distance should not be too close so I can get good view of overall upper torso posture, but not too far so I don't miss important details in right hand and left hand. (One student super velcroed her iPad to her wall!)
5. If it's possible to have the drone going for scales, that would be great. 6. A tuner or metronome handy might also become helpful. 7. Test your access with someone and have them check volume (careful that it's plenty loud but not distorted) prior to lesson
8. Please scan and pdf your music that I usually write on during lessons (text or email prior to lesson to 734-717-8977 or kkennedyviolin@me.com) so I can mark up on my iPad with colors and pdf it back. You can print or transfer my markings as you wish. 9. I will take lesson notes and pdf to you for you to print and add to your lesson notebook for easy reference.
10. For scanning, I use the Scannable app. Use whatever scanning modality that allows it to turn into a pdf. 11. For payment, PayPal is easiest. My account is through kkennedyviolin@yahoo.com. Or, you can mail a check to 8911 Tamarack Ct Plymouth, MI 48170
